Ritual Chocolate


Ritual Chocolate has two co-founders: Anne Seear and Robert Stout (Robert stepped away from Ritual in 2023). Anna was born in Essex, England to a multigenerational farming family and has always been passionate about quality food and a deep connection to its source. After visiting a cacao farm in Costa Rica in 2008 she began her journey into the craft of chocolate, inspired by a vision to reconnect people with sustainably sourced cacao that could be showcased in exceptional craft chocolate bars.

The story of Ritual Chocolate began in a 400-square-foot studio turned test kitchen in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Back in 2008, Anna and Robert were driven by a dream to change a broken industry where high quality chocolate was hard to come by. They chose the name Ritual as an homage to days when cacao was truly savored and held in high esteem in the rituals and ceremonies of the Mayans, Aztecs and Olmecs. Anna and Robert wanted to put excellent bars in the hands of chocolate lovers seeking top-notch products. Now located in Park City, Utah, the mission of Ritual remains the same - delivering an exceptional chocolate experience to customers like you!
