This region has been plagued with slave labor and poor prices for farmers. Thanks to The Ghana Cocoa Board, known as COCOBOD, Letterpress has secured cocoa for which they willingly paid twice the commodity price in order to help farmers earn a fair wage. COCOBOD has been training farmers to help protect the environment and promote sustainable agroforestry systems.

Of course I am drawn to craft chocolate for all of the beautiful flavors, fragrances and appearances it offers, but I am equally committed to the makers I stock because they care about the earth and all its inhabitants.
