This Friis Holm Single Bean Chuno Dark Chocolate Bar is made from a Criollo/Trinitario varietal found on remote farms in Northern Nicaragua at an altitude of 300-800 meters. The beans have been turned an extra or third time during the 5-day fermentation process, producing an incredibly smooth and gentle chocolate with mild acidity.

Reviewers describe this bar as “celestial” and I must agree. Imagine the goddess Aphrodite in velvet pants. The aroma is jam on toast and upon tasting you’ll find chocolate fudge, a brief candy flirt, bread and cream, and white chocolate mousse. There’s a hint of chestnut and the mouthfeel is lusciously buttery with a heavenly slow melt.

The price is higher than other bars in the Barometer Chocolate collection, but please note that this bar is 3.5 ounces, a full ounce and half bigger than most others. It’s a hefty one! Theoretically, it will last longer…or maybe not, considering how ridiculously delicious it is!!
