Christopher Nobles is the chocolate maker and owner of Piety and Desire in New Orleans. He operates both a chocolate factory as well as a bar/salon style cafe. Christopher regards cacao as something that is both sacred and seductive at the same time, and through his « bean-to-bar-to-bonbon-and beyond » model, Christopher and his team combine science and art, as well as reverence and passion while crafting chocolate.

For Chris, chocolate is not just a delicious treat; it’s an experience that is accompanied by a story. Like all the makers Barometer Chocolate features, Chris delights in ethically sourcing the cacao from farmers who earn a living wage and utilize practices that protect rather than destroy the planet. He loves the creative aspect of locking in ideal flavors by experimenting with custom roast profiles that suit each bean, and then refining and coaching the cacao to create optimal flavors and mouth feel.
