Dick Taylor Tanzania Dark Chocolate Bar
ARRIVING NOVEMBER 5
Decadence alert! This Dick Taylor Tanzania Belize 65% dark chocolate bar is RICH and FUDGY, but it goes way beyond chocolatey notes! After a burst of super chocolate flavor I get lip-smacking cherries and berries and a bit of coffee and the subtlest touch of lemon in the finish. This bar just keeps on giving! What a great combination of sophistication and pleasure on the palate. It’s impossible to eat just one piece! Trust me, I tried!!!
The beans for this bar come from a village called Mbingu (Kiswahili for ‘heaven”) in Kilombero Valley, Tanzania, near Udzungwa National Park. Kokoa Kamili is a well-renowned fermentation facility in Mbingu that purchases wet cacao beans at a premium price (actually the highest price paid for cacao in all of Tanzania), from more than 4,000 smallholder farmers in the region. Kokoa Kamili does great work, not only with the art and science of fermentation, but also with training farmers in best practices for increasing cacao yield without sacrificing quality. To further promote the success of farmers and fine flavor cacao beans, workers at Kakao Kamili distribute cacao seedlings to growers as an investment in their future and the future of fine flavor cacao.
