Located high in Utah’s Wasatch Mountain range in the heart of the Rockies, Amano Chocolate prides itself on creating some of the world’s most exquisite and luxurious chocolate.

Amano’s founder, Art Pollard, is the quintessential renaissance man. Before he became a chocolate maker he was a physicist and a software engineer who wrote code for Adobe Acrobat (and that code is still in use!). Now he is at the helm of his chocolate company, and along with his family, he crafts utter deliciousness.

Amano (which means both “by hand” and “they love” in Italian) was declared by NPR to be some of the best chocolate that one could gift to their Valentine. In fact, Amano Chocolate is, by far, the most award winning chocolate maker in America.

This family-run business sources the world’s most precious cacao beans from estates that produce solely fine flavor varietals. Amano works with small carefully controlled batches and crafts bean to bar chocolate with love. Art Pollard says, We seek not to be the largest chocolate company, but simply to make the very best chocolate humanly, or heavenly, possible.”
